Utilization Appeals Coordinator
Coordinates all activities involved in the certification, recertification, and appeals process in Care Management. Ensures timely communication with payers based on adequate and complete documentation received from the Care Coordinators. Minimizes financial risk by following through with payer-specific appeals processes
Licensed as an RN or LPN in the State of Michigan for nurses in the role. Accredited Record Technologist or Registered Records Administrator with state-required credentials. College level degree concomitant with registered or accredited status.
Outstanding communication skills (written and oral). Computer literate and adept. Impeccable customer service skills.
Preferred:
Knowledge of third party payer rules, regulations and appeals process a plus.
