Regional Director of Business Development - Troy, MI, - Direct Hire - Salary $55,000+/year negotiable based upon experience - Responsible for overseeing all aspects of business development and sales in a specific region or vertical. Developing new leads, enabling prospects to buy and closing new business. A minimum of 2
years of sales/business development selling to HR and a college degree preferred.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
The Regional Director of Business Development is responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales and business development for direct end-user clients in their region/vertical.

Key responsibilities include:
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, annual sales goals.
Develop and implement annual sales plans.
Generate and maintain a credible forecast.
Identify and generate leads, including cold calling, email, trade shows and conferences and marketing campaigns.
Spend 20% of the time telephone prospecting and 25% to 40% of time in the field in front of prospects and customers.
Understands prospects business needs and utilize the ListenFirst approach built into the CRM
Manage prospect pipeline from interest (establishing relationship), development (understanding need), to close.
Create a Close Plan for any major (over $25,000 ARR) opportunity and manage the proposal and agreement process.
Update CRM on a daily basis, turn in a Weekly Activity Report, participate in the weekly sales team meeting, and produce an updated forecast including the current and next months forecast monthly and upon request.
Active involvement in industry associations networking to develop new opportunities and developing industry knowledge.
Continuing personal self-development through training and education.

The candidate must be able to analyze complex data, think strategically about the industry and services and possess strong interpersonal and deal-making skills. Reporting to the Corporate Vice President of Business Development, this exceptional individual will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and an excellent communicator who can represent the company.

QUALIFICATIONS
Two
years of sales experience with a track record of successful quota attainment.
Experience preferred selling to HR: applicant screening solutions, payroll, HRIS, talent acquisition, talent management or relates technology solutions.
Ability to multi-task and complete assignments within agreed upon time frame.
Ability to travel as required.
Ability to read and legibly write as well as speak and comprehend the English language.
Driving record in conformance with insurance carrier's requirements.
Able to fulfill corporate conditions of employment.
Mature bearing, manner and ability to set an example in actions, verbalizations and written communications. A Will Do attitude.

RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to Corporate Vice President of Business Development
Integral part of the Organic Revenue Growth Team.
Cooperative relationships expected with all divisions, departments and employees of the company.

MEASUREMENTS OF SUCCESS
100% and above attainment of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Quotas
20% of time cold calling and 25% of time in the field.
Active involvement in not less than two (2) associations directly related to generating new recurring revenue.
Active involvement includes:
Attending not less than 80% of all regular meetings.
Holding a position on a committee or board of each association.
Generating revenue from the association contacts that is not less than 300% of the total cost associated with joining and attending the meetings.

COMPENSATION
Full-time salary non-exempt ranging from $40,000 up to $75,000 annually
Mileage Reimbursement: Eligible from date of hire in accordance with the corporate mileage reimbursement policy.
Benefits: As outlined in the employee handbook.
Commission:
Commission will be paid on accounts for two (2) years from the effective date of the contract.
Effective Date:
If contract is executed prior to the 16th of the month the effective date shall be the 1st day of that month.
If contract is executed on or after the 16th of the month the effective date shall be the 16th day of that month.
Upon termination of employment, for any reason whatsoever, employees shall have no right to any additional commissions.
Commission payment is contingent upon collection of account receivables per client per service.
Commission will be paid monthly on the second pay period of each month for the period two month prior.
i.e. January's commission will be paid on the second pay day in March; February's commission will be paid on the second pay day in April, etc.
