Job Duties: Use advanced knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical/Electronics Engineering theories and principles, as well as experience with embedded systems design and development, to assist with the development of hardware and software in connection with an embedded system for Engine Controller Units (ECU) to be bridged to DEPs Meshwork's software suite for enhanced and advanced combustion modeling. The duties of this position are as follows: Develop ECU controller with integrated sensor for combustion modeling, simulation and controlling. Collect the hardware requirements including complete hardware input/output specification, RAM and FLASH Memory size requirements, processing power requirements and hardware compliance. Perform Meshwork's and Controller Software Requirements definition and analysis, including defining User requirements (high level requirements) and software functional and non-functional requirements (constrains). Design hardware circuit for data collection, including placing the initial Hardware schematic design, Integrated circuit and component selections. Perform PCB design, including building component footprint library according to PCB manufacturing constraints, configuring the schematic components and converting the schematic into PCB following all the mechanical requirements, and routing the tracks given the electrical constrains. May perform additional tasks normal for this occupation, as required.
Requirements: Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or any related major that provided the required skills, knowledge and abilities and 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related position that provided the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
In addition, individuals must have demonstrable experience with the following:
1. Matlab/Simulink.
2. Stateflow.
3. Real Time Workshop.
4. TargetLink.
5. Embedded C, C/C++.
6. CAN.
7. ISO 26262.
8. Performing Design Failure Mode and Effects (DFMEA) analysis.
No travel; no telecommuting. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. The term suitable, in this context, means substantial compatibility with stated academic level and job experience requirements and ability to perform job duties.
