Summary:
Responsible for the development of the design and implementation of network infrastructure including file servers, messaging systems, application servers and specific user appliances. Provide technical research for change, maintenance and enhancement to existing technologies as well as implementation of new technologies.
Job Duties:
Participate in the design and lead in the management of enterprise server, storage and network infrastructure systems.
Provide leadership by example to the network service and support teams.
Ensure adherence to bank standards based on industry best practices and stated business needs.
Provide technical mentoring of network service and support staff.
Identify and leverage integration opportunities at the hardware, software and interface level in order to optimize systems.
Create and maintain standards related to network system configurations, security and service records.
Implement and maintain processes, procedures and associated plans for network infrastructure including administration, usage and disaster recovery.
Other duties as requested.
Required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of 5 years of detailed technical experience with network design in an enterprise level production environment.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities related to enterprise systems.
Strong verbal/written skills and the ability to effectively interface with internal business clients, operations teams, technical engineering teams, and internal audit. Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to lead small teams to produce quality products and services.
Specialty Specific Skill Sets
Systems & Storage
Solid experience with Microsoft networking including Active Directory and Group Policy.
Experience with virtualization technologies, with VMWare preferred.
Experience managing enterprise storage arrays, with direct EMC experience preferred.
Extensive operating systems experience.
Extensive operating system deployment experience.
Software packaging and enterprise deployment.
Direct experience with advanced system monitoring and alert systems.
System security profile management.
Networking
Experience with Cisco routers and switches.
Enterprise network design and maintenance experience.
Solid knowledge of Cisco chassis based switches and their management.
Carrier management experience.
Strong network communications troubleshooting background.
General Working Conditions:
May be long periods of sitting or standing, occasional pressures related to time management issues and meeting deadlines. Lifting up to 25 lbs required. Occasional stooping and climbing. Some travel is required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
