Responsibilities include: Conducting automotive body CAE analysis; Conducting NVH, durability and SDS analysis; Conducting FEA modeling/morphing using ANSA and HyperMesh; Conducting analysis using MSC-Nastran, Abaqus or LS-Dyna. Conducting MDO (Multi-disciplinary Optimization) of car body structure to reduce weight without degrading body NVH & safety performance. Applying Meta-model Based Design Optimization (MBDO) to body structure. Conducting Design of Experiments study to determine the optimum gage, grade and shape variables to achieve enhanced vehicle safety. Post processing DOE runs and generating response surface models (RSM). Correcting FE model quality issues. Reporting MDO results and sensitivities.
M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Academic training and/or experience must have included: FE analysis, meshing & optimization using HyperMesh, Ansa, MSC Nastran, LS Dyna, Mode frontier. Integrating MDO with NVH, Safety performance and cost - weight. Body Optimization and Materials and gage sensitivities using Nastran.
