A global industry leader in the design and manufacture of metal stampings and modular welded assemblies has an immediate opening for a Director of Sales located at their Sales and Engineering offices in Troy, MI. Experience calling on Japanese OEM's and Japanese language skills are highly desired. Very competitive salary, bonus, car, benefits, etc.
Responsibilities for the Director of Business Development
To satisfy the demands of the customer (Honda) by providing the highest level of service through maintaining the existing relationship while maximizing on the opportunity to receive future business. To provide leadership, coaching and counseling to all direct reports.
Act as a liaison between customer and company in all areas of Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Finance.
Meet with customers on a regular basis to follow-up on current issues/concerns, engineering changes, quality issues, potential future business, etc. Coordinate customer visits for company personnel as requested.
Develop strategic plan for specific customer accounts and assist the VP Sales/Engineering in the development of long term plans which include the Sales and Budget Forecasts. Provide sales forecast updates as required.
Review quote sheets and cost estimates to maximize profitability and competitiveness and negotiate with customers as necessary.
Requirements for the Director of Business Development
University Degree or College Diploma in Business Commerce/Administration.
Minimum 7 - 10 years job related experience in automotive/manufacturing industry.
Basic technical expertise in stamping/welding environment.
Experience calling on Japanese OEM's/Japanese language skills highly desired (i.e. Honda/Nissan).
Working knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
