Intern - Retail Product Support
Flagstar Bank is looking for an intern to join our Retail Product Support team over the summer. As a Flagstar Intern you will have the opportunity to learn the daily functions and operations of our Product department. During this time, you will interact with team members and leaders to gain real-world experience by working alongside our team to learn our processes and improve efficiencies while expanding on the core concepts introduced throughout your college classes. Throughout your internship you will participate in multiple engagement sessions designed to enhance your career outlook, communication skills, and business knowledge. Flagstar Bank is looking for an intern to join our Deposit Pricing & Retail Product Management team over the summer. This internship will offer the opportunity to participate in data analysis and develop insights to enhance the Deposit Pricing & Retail Product Management's capabilities as it matures to support the multi-billion-dollar deposit portfolio. This role will engage with team members from many different functional areas as well as gain real-world experience expanding on core concepts introduced in college courses.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- The intern will work with Deposit Pricing Manager & Head of Retail Product Management to operationalize processes supporting the banks deposit platform. This will entail the use of reporting dashboards, analytical insight tools, and production of monthly reporting packages.
- Additionally, the intern will engage in customer research activities with a focus on identifying unique attributes of key customer segments, and the problems they have.
- Using a combination of survey data, customer data, and competitive research, the intern will generate insights used to inform actionable strategies to promote primacy and growth.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent Required
- Current student or recent graduate pursing a major in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration, IT, or related area of study required
- Motivated to learn and improve operational processes
- Able to demonstrate solid writing and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and have a strong attention to detail
- Adjusts positively to quickly-changing priorities and shifting goals in a fast-paced environment
- Strong numeric and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage projects in an effective and productive manner
