Electrical Engineer

gpac, a 30 year-old recruitment firm, is partnering with a well-established Architecture and Design Firm. We are currently seeking talented and experienced Electrical Engineers to join their dynamic team. They are looking for people for mid to senior level positions, with the ability to grow into management positions.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems for various commercial construction projects. Your expertise in building codes and CAD concepts will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects.

Here are the key responsibilities of the position:

- Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop electrical plans for building projects.

- Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate electrical systems for efficiency and compliance with regulations.

- Create detailed drawings and specifications using AutoCAD or Revit.

- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and accurate installation of electrical systems.

- Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify and resolve any electrical issues.

To excel in this role, you will need the following skills:

- An accredited degree in Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) college or university.

- State of Michigan Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred).

- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in electrical design for commercial construction projects.

- Extensive knowledge of building codes and regulations.

- Proficiency in 2D and 3D design using AutoCAD or Revit.

- LEED accreditation and BIM experience are valuable assets.
