Job Description The Service Manager is responsible for managing the automotive service department and the day-to-day operations of the dealership.
The Perfect candidate will have a minimum of 3 years Automotive Service Management experience.
This position will be responsible for all aspects of the automotive services.
Monitoring and increasing customer retention, CSI, Building and maintaining a service team, while adhering to the Policies and Procedures set forth by the manufacture.
Responsible for all aspects of the automotive services provided at the dealership Responsible for maintaining a positive and hard-working attitude towards all dealership employees Manage staff schedules and personnel to ensure that all staff members are completing tasks in a timely manner Job Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicles needs and concerns as well as with other staff members within a one-on-one situation or over the phone or over email.
Duties:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the automotive service department - Ensure efficient and timely completion of all automotive repairs and maintenance - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns - Schedule appointments and manage the workflow of the service department - Monitor technician performance and provide coaching and feedback as needed - Maintain accurate records of all service transactions and customer interactions - Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the dealership
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in automotive service management or a similar role - Strong knowledge of automotive repairs, maintenance, and industry standards - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks - Proficient in computer systems and software used in the automotive industry - Knowledge of cash handling procedures and ability to handle financial transactions accurately - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Skills:
- Tire service experience preferred - Knowledge of shocks, struts, and other suspension components - Familiarity with air brake systems is a plus - Mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems - Experience in automotive sales is beneficial but not required - Ability to perform oil changes and basic maintenance tasks This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Automotive Service Manager to join our dealership.
