The Human Resource Manager will assist in running the daily functions of the Human Resource department, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
This is a full-time position that works IN PERSON out of our corporate office in Troy, MI.
Responsibilities:
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.
Oversee and/or assist in the administration of workers comp, FMLA, ADA, and COBRA, 401(k), health and welfare benefits May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills Proficiency and experience with HRIS or the ability to quickly learn company HRIS.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Willingness to blend management functions with hands-on tasks Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a tactful and diplomatic manner Payroll processing Knowledge of employment federal and state regulation Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
At least 3 years of human resource management and HRIS experience preferred.
