6K a year Dunham's Sports a regional full line sporting goods retailer headquartered in Troy, MI has an immediate opening for a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist.
This is a full-time position that works out of our headquarters in Troy, MI.
(Not remote or hybrid) The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Analyst will act as part of the marketing team, identifying and implementing search engine optimization efforts so that keyword searches and organic search engine traffic will funnel more visits to our website.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the strategy and execution for SEO on https:
//www.
dunhamssports.
com/ This includes, but not limited to,:
Identify and implement SEO efforts resulting in popular & seasonal organic keyword searches funneling incremental visits to the website Identify and make recommendations to further optimize key pages, including homepage, category pages, product pages, vendor pages, content pages, store pages etc.
Execute (within the website backend platform) on SEO including site structure, metadata, page structure, canonical links, backlinks, sitemap, and internal link structure Strong understanding of metadata and its direct impact on a website Work with existing SEO reporting partner for SEO task prioritization and recommended strategies (monthly meetings) Measure impact and provide next step roadmap (ongoing) Be aware of current SEO trends and algorithm changes, and how that impacts SEO results Oversee the strategy and execution for SEM This includes keyword strategy, monthly budget recommendations, paid ad verbiage/images/coupons Measure impact and provide next step roadmap (ongoing) Work with existing SEM partner for SEM task prioritization and recommended strategies (monthly meetings) Required Skills:
Understand the dual relationship re:
SEO & SEM and how one channel influences the other.
SEO & SEM experience a required Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to learn and participate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or relevant area required Must have at least three years of SEO & SEM experience Retail experience preferred.
