Job Description The Payroll Specialist will manage the processing of payroll (salaried, hourly and 1099), including day-to-day Finance and HR support for compensation and benefit administration.
Responsibilities for HR Payroll Specialist Responsible for administering payroll system (Currently Paychex) Communicate with managers to resolve issues with payroll Ensure all timecards are approved by the deadline Track reported issues with payroll system and work with vendor to have corrected Reconcile payroll records with approved timecards Process wage garnishment and other deductions Support HR & Finance projects for annual increases, bonus calculations, compensation reporting and budget files Train managers and staff on correct use of payroll system Manage invoice processing, for independent contractors through the payroll system Provides reporting for payroll and HR applications Analyze and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts, as needed.
Qualifications Minimum 3
years of experience with related payroll administration Excellent understanding of payroll tax requirements Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Applications Superior attention to detail Ability to maintain working relationships with internal and external customers Ability to work independently and in a team environment Professional verbal and written communication skills Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data Proven track record of maintaining employee confidentiality Knowledge of various HRIS applications Experience with payroll systems Able to work within strict payroll deadlines Benefits 401(k) with employer match Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Job Type:
