Project Manager, Quoting, Resource Management & Planning at Magna in Troy, MI
Key Responsibilities eQuote Management:
Detailed planning of unbooked business in Planview. Plan quote kick-offs and ensure timely quote approvals by involving the right stakeholders. eQuote database maintenance. Pre eQuote/eQuote planning and management. Cost controlling during acquisition phase. Optimization of quote tools. Quote process continuous improvement (accuracy, timing). Analysis of design and development cost, optimization based on statistical data, blended hourly rates, workpackage alignment and target price definition. Lead and drive Catalogue quote initiative. Analysis and reporting of performance KMI's related to quote process (HC, Spending). Work closely with quote managers of other DS sites for read across and standardization of quoting efforts. Resource Management & Planning:
Support Troy Engineering Business Office (EBO) for local budget & resource management. Support project management to optimize planning (budget and resources) on a project/department level. Track the engineering spending budget, perform variance analysis, manage results & monthly reporting. Prepare quarterly forecast & Yearly Business Planning data, plan internal reviews with Site Dir and Project Management. Create and maintain PowerBI reports for automating quarterly forecasts, monthly KMI's and other site-specific performance KMI's (finance & non-finance). Prepare data and trend reports for monthly PE communication meetings (Booked/Unbooked, Resource gaps, Internal projects success stories, CAPEX updates, etc). Magna Standards Practice and maintain integrity while following Magna's Charter and Constitution. Follow Magna's Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies. Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (IATF) . Drive the development of new technologies to improve quality, efficiency and reduce cost. Comply with safety policies and procedures to ensure duties of self are performed in a safe manner. Minimum 5 years related work experience in product engineering organization. Substantial know-how in project management, budget management, business strategy and in Product Engineering processes required. Working knowledge of SAP/PLM or similar required. Experience with SQL and PowerBI preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as teamwork skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Demonstrated organizational and analytical skill with the ability to work within deadlines but also be adaptable to change. Experience working with/reporting out to senior management strongly preferred. Experience working with different groups and facilitating a team atmosphere.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
