Role Summary An employee in this job role has responsibility for providing guidance, technical consultation and leadership to Magna US divisional human resource teams for support of managing US health and welfare benefit programs; addressing health priorities, focusing on financial analytical support, assistance with vendor management, meeting US regulatory requirements and assisting with benefit design, pricing and administration. The employee in this job role will require a strong awareness of the US insurance vendor marketplace, plan designs and health care cost factors, including experience and background in health care finance, data analysis and statistics. This role will also assist the Director with development of health benefit strategy, policy, eligibility, vendor selection, pricing, activities, annual benefit design, preparation and attendance at company management meetings (as requested), working closely with and communicating new plans, plan design or policy changes to the Magna US Groups and Divisional locations, including presentations to company managers and employee groups. This role also requires writing and structuring internal communications, including proposals, reports and presentations, assist with communications and responding to employee / management benefit issues. An employee in this role must have excellent interpersonal skills, communications skills both verbal and written and leadership experience Key Responsibilities o Designing new benefit plans; initiating and project managing redesign projects o Developing policies related to US health & welfare benefits o Engaging in, benchmarking, reviewing and recommending benefit design changes, renewals or vendor changes to existing benefit programs o Collecting, analyzing and interpreting health care data using utilization reports from vendors / insurance carriers; assist in financial reviews and valuations of cost estimates o Leading or assisting in benefit program needs as part of business development (acquisition, merger or divestiture activities by the company) o Communicating new plans, policies, as required to Magna US Groups / Divisions o Assisting with development of communications on new benefit plans and policies o Assist with new benefit plan or vendor selection and recommendations for renewals or vendor changes for current programs o Frequent interaction with other Magna functions, including Finance, Divisional Human Resources, legal compliance, labor relations and employee communications Key Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
o Willingness to travel on business up to 25% o Minimum 3 years' experience in US Benefits Law / Regulations o Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the following:
o applied knowledge of US Benefits and Benefits Design o managing projects o financial / data analysis or Statistics o assisting with vendor negotiations o performing strategic planning and / or project management o using problem solving and decision science techniques o managing vendor relationships o using analytical tools for benefits analysis EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE o Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resource Management, Health Management or related field of study SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
o Desired - professional certification in Employee Benefits or Human Resource Management Additional Information PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
o Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Some local travel may be required. 04--Human Resources F--Permanent/Regular
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
HR Management, HR Compensation & BenefitsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
