Rapidly growing multibillion dollar tier 1 automotive supplier in the Auburn Hills, Michigan area is currently in search for a Engineering Maintenance and Technology Manager. The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong manufacturing, process improvement and welding background that is looking to take the next step in their career. This is a position that has the career path to move into a Director level position in the coming years. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of maintenance on welding machines and a strong background with process improvements. Experience with robotic welding is absolutely required.
Responsibilities for the Engineering Manager
Direct supervisory responsibility for the Maintenance Department, Process Engineering and Welding Engineering functions
Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance team in designing, planning and executing PM downs.
Work with / source external vendors for issues that cannot be resolved in-house.
Must have experience wiring 110VAC fixtures, changing out motors, hydraulics/pneumatics, 3-phase/ 480 volt, bending conduit, electrical service/distribution installation, gear boxes, conveyors, etc.
Previous experience programming Profibas Net (Robots Network)
Requirements for the Engineering Manager
Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
Project management tools knowledge
Excellent skills with all standard computer software mandatory, prior use of ERP/MRP system such as SAP or similar preferred.
knowledge of welding, cutting, stamping, bending and assembly processes with robot or automatic machines mandatory, knowledge of these processes with Stainless Steel preferred.
