CAE Analyst

Responsibilities include: Conducting computer aided engineering on automotive components. Establishing and pre-processing CAE full vehicle and component crash models models with Primer, Visual Crash (VCD) and Hypermesh. Analyzing post-processed simulation results for barrier forces, intrusions, bending moments, section capacities, energy absorptions and spot weld ruptures. Developing templates and Animator scripts to optimize post-processing. Conducting safety and crashworthiness simulations using LS-Dyna. Making recommendations for improvements in design and materials used. Analyzing and presenting test results.
M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Academic training and/or experience must have included: Hand calculations to predict structure strength & safety, HyperMesh, topology optimization tools; vehicle body structure for torsion stiffness, crashworthiness, bending moment strength and energy optimization.
